Lost Planet: Extreme Condition
Ignore the GeForce 8600 GTS results and it's all much of a muchness. Specification-based observations suggest that the Radeon HD 3870 should give the less-endowed GeForce 9600 GT a kicking, but that doesn't turn out to be the case.
We'd feel reasonably confident in stating that at least four cards - two 9600 GTs and two Radeons - could render most games at 1,680x1,050 with medium-to-high image-quality settings, making them a sensible fit for 20- and 22-inch LCD monitors that ship with that native resolution.
