Company Of Heroes: Opposing Fronts
The lack of GPU load at 1,920x1,200 is manifested by the benchmark score actually dropping with a second GeForce 9800 GX2 added; the overhead of having four GPUs is such that, strangely, it's not worth it.
Turning on the load via the QXGA resolution, two GeForce 9800 GX2s add an additional 23 per cent to a single-card's performance. ATI's 'X2 scaling is much better, adding 71 per cent and boosting scores to almost match the twin GX2's results.
ATI's subsystem will give you a little change from £500; NVIDIA's will cost around £750.
The four-GPU setups make a mockery of high-end single-cards' results, as you would expect.
