The latest instalment in the Gears of War series delivers heart-stopping action and the developers at The Coalition deserve genuine credit for proving that high-profile ports can be every bit as stunning as their console counterparts, if not more so.
Radeon VII now settles into a routine whereby it is 25 per cent faster than Vega 64 and within single-figure percentages of the RTX 2080 FE.
To be clear, though very fast, it cannot get anywhere near the best in the business. Inno3D's watercooled RTX 2080 Ti, admittedly £1,500, is 50 per cent faster.
