Company Of Heroes: Opposing Fronts

Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts' performance with DX9 is smooth on all cards. The ZOTAC card has the performance edge on the MSI OC, thanks to higher clockspeeds, although you'd be hard-pressed to discern the visual difference when in a gaming environment.

The GeForce 8800 GTS 320 does rather badly for what amounts to a similar architecture. The performance drop-off, when compared to GeForce 8800 GT 512, can be largely attributed to the smaller frame buffer and lack of comparative shading power. The ATI HD 3870 512, priced at some £50 lower than the ZOTAC, does reasonably well, too.

DX10

The story is the same for DX10, but the frame rates take a beating, making 1920x1200 unplayable, really, although the performance variation was such that the above graph is almost rendered meaningless.
