Overclocking
Willing to squeeze every last ounce of performance out of your Ā£560 purchase? There's good news, as there's a decent amount of headroom to play with and no extra voltage is required to bump-up frequencies. We were quickly and easily able to run with base and boost clocks of 1,843MHz and 1,983MHz, respectively, while the new-and-improved GDDR5X memory didn't quibble when asked to operate at an effective 12Gbps.
Healthy gains all round and, while overclocking mileage will vary from one sample to the next, it's reasonable to assume that the Gaming X Plus can deliver more performance for very little effort.
