Asus's somewhat conservative factory overclock suggests that there must be additional headroom for with enthusiasts to play with. With an increased power target and no added voltage, we were able to add 110MHz to the core and increase memory speed to an effective 11,640MHz.

With the overclock in place our logs reveal that the ROG Strix was maintaining 2,050MHz when gaming. A decent enough uplift if you're willing to stress your new Ā£800 GPU.
