Using Handbrake to transcode a 4K film to a tablet-friendly 720p resolution is no easy task. Handbrake's workload pushes all CPU cores and the reduced frequency of the FX-8320E becomes evident. Although, the FX-8320E is still on par with Intel's i5-4570.
PCMark8's Creative benchmark with OpenCL acceleration shows almost perfect scaling with the frequencies of each AMD FX CPU. The FX-8320E is, unsurprisingly, bottom of the pile as it has the lowest frequencies. The slowest Intel Core i5 holds over 1,500 PCMarks of ground.
