Memory performance
The dual-channel architecture of AMD's FX chips all share a similar level of memory read performance irrespective of frequency. Said performance is also on par with equivalent Intel Haswell mainstream processors.
Memory read reveals a different narrative, AMD's FX processors struggle to keep with Haswell. We observe, in a similar fashion to memory read, that write performance is semi-independent from frequency.
The slower-clocked FX-8320E has a little extra latency over the FX-8370E but it still remains competitive with Intel Core i5 parts.
