Crunching WAVs into 192kb/s MP3 doesn't generally have much to do with memory bandwidth or latency unless we're talking about a Pentium 4 Prescott. That's why all three 2.4GHz Athlon 64s produce identical times.
Another strong showing for the debut S939 CPUs. Again, both beat out a S940 FX-53. The gains from not using registered memory are immediate.
L2 cache, for once, does make a significant difference in our KribiBench test. It's one benchmark where AMD's CPUs don't do so well in relation to Intel's.
