UT2003, Quake III, Call of Duty
Our Unreal Tournament 2003 CPU test revolves around an indoor bot match. That's a perfect scenario for loading up the subsystem. Again, the 3.4GHz Prescott is slower than a regular Northwood, although the difference is largely immaterial. What's worrying is the lead held by AMD Athlon 64 duo.
Call of Duty generally mirrors the results found in UT2003. Don't get us wrong, the 3.4GHz Prescott is not slow by any means, but it flatters to deceive when compared to other illustrious company.
Forget Quake III as a gaming test and think of it as subsystem analysis. Close enough to the regular Northwood for us to call the results a draw.
