AMD processors struggle with single-thread performance, even when at 4.3GHz. The AMD FX-8370E is over 40 per cent slower than the comparison Core i5-4570.
Tapping into eight native cores certainly helps performance. Limited to 3.3GHz in this all-core scenario, the FX-8370E nudges ahead of the Core i5-4570.
wPrime, too, loves cores and threads. Eight AMD cores work better than four Intel ones, to the tune of 10 per cent.
