Overclocking

The latest incarnation of Celeron CPUs are built on a 0.13-micron manufacturing process. We thought that perhaps the processors' saving grace could be excellent headroom potential. VCore was raised to 1.65v and the FSB was inched up by 2MHz intervals.

Not too shabby, though overclocking can only do so much to alleviate the stunted core's poor performance. UT2003 and Pifast were re-run to gauge what kind of effect the increased clock speed had on results.

You can make it faster but you can't hope beat out processors that are innately better.

That's unless the tested activity doesn't show a distinct preference for the other processors' performance-related features.
