AMD's integrated graphics usually benchmark nicely in 3DMark Fire Strike - it's a test that's always referenced in the press guides. While the Jaguar cores are good - better than expected, in fact - the need to manufacture a small die translates to a substantially pared down version of GCN Graphics. As a comparison, the Kaveri-based A8-7600 has 3x the cores, is clocked in at a higher speed, and interfaces with dual-channel memory.

Such reductions, which are necessary to hit lower price points, have an immediate performance consequence. Athlon 5350's graphics are just over half the speed of the A8-6500T (Richland) and one-third of the A8-7600 (Kaveri).

The much-improved Jaguar cores bolster the overall score in PCMark 8. Extrapolating from what we know about how these scores translate to real-world experiences, anything over 1,500 marks is plenty good enough for an entry-level PC.

Evaluated in context, the numbers are reasonable.
