Benchmarks: Performance Per Watt
We can also do back-of-the-envelope calculations and determine a rough performance-per-watt metric by dividing overall score by the chips' TDP. Doing so pushes the two compared processors near to the bottom of our seven-CPU line-up.
The same methodology shows the Core i5-4440 to be marginally ahead of the A10-7850K in the Sandra examination.
An 84W TDP and middle-of-the-road graphics condemns Intel to bottom place here. 65W and 45W APUs rule the roost in this test.
