Benchmarks: Gaming
It's gaming where one would expect the biggest gains. The beefier graphics and slightly faster CPU should pave the way for best-in-class performance.
But the reality isn't quite that straightforward. The A10-7850K is only slightly faster than the A8-7600 in the 1080p test - about 10 per cent - and one would assume more from a graphics core that has 33 per cent more processors.
We're looking at a 20 per cent improvement over the graphics present in the A10-6800K (Richland) and, again, a 10 per cent hike from the A8-7600.
Some games rely more heavily on CPU power than others. Total War: Rome II is a case in point, with the older-generation Richland APU beating the Kaveri-based A10-7850K.
