IGPs are still in a slightly awkward position: they're more than powerful enough for everyday multimedia duties, but they aren't quite able to drive a high-quality, full-HD gaming experience.

That said, you're going to get far more success from an AMD IGP than an Intel equivalent in the sub-Ā£150 category.

And truth be told, we're not far off high-quality gaming. At 720p, the A10-6700 is able to deliver DiRT Showdown at around 50 frames per second.

In-game performance will vary from title to title, but on average you can expect the A10-6700 to be slightly faster than the outgoing A10-5700. Considering how healthy AMD's graphics lead already is, we're looking forward to seeing what the next generation's GCN-equipped Kaveri will do.
