Benchmarks III
On to UT2003 Demo's inbuilt benchmark. Benched at 800x600. First the flybys.
Excepting the P4 2.8GHz and XP2700+ processors, the Radeon 9700 is crying out for CPU power. And now on to the more CPU-limited bot matches.
The bot match benchmarks exposes the Celeron's weakness in games in more graphic detail. Low cache = bad for gaming.
Lastly, a quick visit to Quake 3. Run at 512x384 Fastest to see how much true CPU power/ bandwidth we have at our disposal.
I'm discounting the XP2700+ result. It appeared out of place in the context of other results. The Celeron doesn't do so badly here, but this is an older games engine.
