Serious Sam 2, Quake3

SS2 first. This graph will bake your noodle, it bakes mine for sure. There is something in my SS2 configuration to appease the P4 since if there's one thing the Athlon XP is good at, it's Serious Sam 2. But we call it as we see it at Hexus so these are the numbers you'll see. It goes to show what effect software setup can have on things, regardless of whether you have the fastest consumer FPU on the planet beating under the hood.

If you disregard the P4 result due to foul software play, we are card and bandwidth limited on the AMD's. The CPU is crying out for more graphics power and more memory bandwidth. It's almost like a sin to run it at stock front side bus, given it's potential.

Quake3 next. More card limitation on the plate here I'd bet if I were you. Here's the graph.

Safe bets are always the best. Card limitation is apparent across the board. Strong performance but limited performance, throttled by my meagre test setup. When did Ti4400's become meagre?

Onto something a little more meaty for the CPU to sink its teeth into.
