Looking at it from a best-case scenario from Intel's point of view - running games at 1080p with an RTX 2080 Ti graphics card at the helm - Ryzen 9 3950X achieves about 95 per cent of the Core i9-9900KS' performance. That's solid going when you consider AMD doubles the cores and threads, albeit at a higher price in this instance.
