Moving on to a trio of games tested at QHD on a GeForce GTX 1080 card, the six-core Ryzen 5 1600 continues to hold its own against Intel in the first two benchmarks.

The Ryzen 5 1400's lower core frequency, fewer threads and less cache paints it in a less attractive light, however, but it's still a solid step up from older AMD architectures.
