Memory benchmarks and single-threaded performance

The QX9770's 1600MHz front-side bus provides a fatter pipe for data to flow down, as shown by the SANDRA float benchmark.

There's little wrong with latency, although we noticed an unexpected 7.5 per cent variance between the three runs for the QX9770.

Comparing the CPU to its predecessor, an increase in ~7 per cent increase in clockspeed, along with FSB and memory-speed hikes of 20 per cent, the QX9770 becomes, somewhat predictably, the fastest-ever processor at computing the constant Pi to 10-million places.
