We had to pause for a moment during testing, as the fatigue of benchmarking began to kick-in and we wondered why our DDR4 memory modules wouldn't fit the AMD FX platforms. Yep, that chipset is so outdated it still relies on DDR3.
Ryzen brings the AMD platform right up to date. DDR4 bandwidth is excellent in a dual-channel configuration, and though latency seems a tad high, we're comfortable in stating that this is likely due to a lack of Ryzen optimisations in the AIDA benchmark.
