3DMark and VRMark

Moving swiftly on and appreciating all base components are identical, Ryzen 7 does well enough in the Futuremark tests. It's clear that Intel still holds the lead, but going by our results, it all-but diminishes as the tests become somewhat more bound by the GPU. Ryzen 7 1800X is, clearly way quicker than the higher-clocked FX-9590.

A small wrinkle in the box is the substandard VRMark score - we had expected it to break through the 10K barrier with ease. AMD, as you will likely hear in the coming days, suggests that software optimisations will bring the best out of the nascent Zen core.
