Performance

We see similar levels of performance when we test mid- or full-tower ATX enclosures, but there can be far more variation in mini-ITX solutions. Offering plenty of space and three pre-installed fans, the NZXT Manta has absolutely no problem cooling our Intel Pentium G3258 processor.

Cooling our Radeon R9 270X is a bigger challenge for these smaller enclosures, yet Manta continues to do well. 71ºC when gaming is very healthy, and it's clear that NZXT's enclosure is designed with more potent hardware in mind.

We might not be sold on Manta's size, but we can't criticise performance. Under-load temperatures are admirable and noise levels are kept down to a minimum, too. The chassis isn't lined with sound-proofing materials (perhaps it should be at this price point?) yet the PWM fan hub does well to keep noise from becoming bothersome. You can hear the fans spinning, but they're by no means bothersome.
