Inside - power and chambers

The key idea of the chamber layout is to isolate the power supply unit - and any heat and noise it produces - in the bottom part of the case.

Most of the other heat-producing elements are in the chamber above, so their cooling requirements can be dealt with quite separately.

The sliding panels between the two chambers allow cables from the power supply to feed into the upper chamber and can be adjusted according to the layout of different PSUs. Data cables for any hard disks contained in caddy in the bottom chamber can also pass through a passage created towards the front.

Thumbscrews make it easy to loosen the panels and lock them in place.

Another carry over from the P180 is dual-purpose sound-proofing strips. These press against the side-panel and so also prevent heat leakage between the chambers.

The ring-pull on each of the two internal 3.5in drive-bay cages also makes a warranted reappearance.
