Round the back...
The rear of the P182 is where some of the most obvious changes are to be seen.
Perhaps most significant is the addition on the right-hand side of two water-cooling holes, each with a rubber grommet.
These arrive at the expense of a vented area found on the P180, so we were a little concerned that thermals might have been adversely affected, especially in a non-water-cooled setup.
A very neat touch is the relocation of the fan controllers onto the rear.
These are part of the standard Tri-Cool fan specification.
Moving them from the interior to the rear panel dramatically improves the usability of the chassis.
That's especially true if you only need the fans running at full speed every now and again - say if you're an irregular player of games. With the P182, you can bang up the speed as you need to, then turn it down again afterwards - all without having to open the side panel and find the appropriate wire as is the case with the P180.
Overall, the back-end of the P182 is a much more organised place than the rear of the P180. Okay, it, too, lacks a removable motherboard tray but Antec has implemented other solutions to aid the user and we'll look at these a bit later on.
