Case Specification

The case is supremely well speecified, as you would expect from an all aluminium server style chassis. It fulfills a completely different role from 1U or 2U rackmount chassis. Here's the formal specification.

• Width: 270mm (10.63in)
• Height: 627mm (24.67in)
• Depth: 665mm (26.18in)

• 12 x 3.5in internal cooled HDD bays across 2 cages
• 6 x 5.25in external CD-ROM bays
• 2 x 3.5in external floppy bays

• 2 x 120mm Sunon exhaust fans (near CPU and tower top)
• 4 x 80mm Sunon intake fans (positioned near drive cages)

• 2 x 80x160mm mesh intake fan filters (removable for cleaning)

In the picture (mind my mess of cabling in the backround) you can see the physical size of the case. The holes cut in the top are for a 120mm fan so you can see the scale. To further illustrate the size, here's a shot of the case with a standard ABIT motherboard box up beside it so you can judge the size a bit better.

Being all aluminium, the case is very light when it's unladen and easily liftable with one hand. However the four wheeled castors are the preferred method of moving the case around and they can be locked when not in transit.

So what's the case like inside?
