Performance
The H700i doesn't appear to be doing a great job of cooling our Core i5-3570K processor, but there's good reason for this. When using Adaptive Noise Reduction, CAM is configured to keep temperature below 70ºC with minimal fan noise; 65.1ºC is hardly hot, and as we'll see further down the page, the H700i does run quiet.
Forgetting about fan profiles for a moment, the H700i does appear to have decent airflow as our dual GTX 970s are prevented from reaching their 80ºC ceiling. H440 comparison numbers are available from our review back in January 2016, and H700i is clearly a better performer with regards to both CPU and GPU temperature.
The Smart Device is effectively an elaborate fan controller. It does a good job of minimising noise - our test platform is barely audible when idle - but the din of the dual GPUs is of course noticeable when gaming.
