The news
Nokia's latest is the 6288, a 3G slide phone weighing 115g and fitted with a 262,144-colour, QVA (320x240) display that's said to offer high-quality video playing capabilities. Features include "real-time" video sharing, two-way video calls and video ringtones. It's due any day now in a choice of black or white-and-black and with an estimated price (before subsidies or tax) of €325 (£219).
The built-in camera is said to record video at VGA resolution and stills at a two megapixel resolution. A 512MB memory card is supplied. Videos, Nokia reckons, can be edited then sent via MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service) as well as email. There's Bluetooth as well and, among other things, that lets the phone send stills to compatible printers.
