F Series
Gran Turismo 5 and 3D TVs are just some of the highlights at Sony's 2010 CES stand, but amid the mass of onlooking consumers, the Japanese consumer electronics giant also showed off a wave of new VAIO notebooks.
There's no shortage of new additions to choose from, but the performance crowd is likely to like the look of the all-new F series, a high-end 16.4in notebook that promises to be the "ultimate entertainer".
As you'd expect, the F series retains the style and build quality associated with Sony's VAIO line, and it's equipped with an impressive array of internal hardware - including up to a Intel Core i7 720QM processor, up to 8GB of memory, a 256GB solid-state drive and dedicated NVIDIA GeForce 330M graphics with a 1GB frame buffer.
That's joined by a "pro-grade" full-HD 16.4in display, a gorgeous, full-size backlit keyboard and an optional Blu-ray drive. Prices start from around £760, but expect that figure to skyrocket with the aforementioned niceties.
