Motherboards
ASUS are displaying plenty of Grantsdale and Alderwood at this year's Computex. Here's a couple of the Alderwood designs. The P5AD2 is powered by Alderwood (i925X) and houses LGA775, dual channels of DDR-II 533 memory, PCI Express 16X for graphics, 2 PCI Express 1X slots, 3 regular PCI slots, the ICH6R southbridge, 8 SATA ports, a Silicon Image 3114 SATA controller, FireWire800 and Gigabit Ethernet.
The P5GD2 Premium is much the same, featuring one less PCI slot but one more PCI Express 1X slot, but the same 8 SATA ports, 3 IDE ports, Gigabit LAN, FireWire800, dual-channel DDR-II 533 and LGA775 socket.
Both motherboards require the same pair of ATX power connectors that current P4 motherboards use and are ATX in form factor, no need for BTX with those two.
