Antec takes the heat off hard drives

~ offers dual fan and heat sync combination with thermal
sensors for greater cooling and stability ~

Antec Europe, a manufacturer of high-performance
computer hardware and accessories, has launched a Hard Drive Cooling System to
enhance PC performance and monitor cooling system demands.

Designed for PC enthusiasts and business users, it
offers maximum hard drive heat dispersion and easy installation.

The system includes an aluminium heatsink and two
thermally controlled variable speed fans to disperse heat generated by the hard
drive efficiently. It also features two built-in temperature sensors to monitor
both hard drive and case temperatures, as well as a lit temperature display with
selectable Celsius or Fahrenheit digital readout. Antec’s Hard Drive Cooling
System supports IDE and SCSI high speed hard drives.

"Hard drives today are bigger, faster and subsequently
hotter than ever. PC users demand more from them, yet often fail to recognise
the costs resulting from reduced performance and shorter life expectancy due to
hard drive overheating," said Scott Richards, vice-president of sales and
marketing at Antec Europe.

"Our new Hard Drive Cooling System is an easy,
cost-effective way to keep temperatures down, improve system performance and
ultimately increase the PC’s life span," Richards added.

Antec’s Hard Drive Cooling System will be available from
October 1 for £21.00 (recommended retail price) from the distributor Computer
2000 and from Global and Misco. It comes with the Antec quality three year
warranty. For further information, please visit
