Introduction
HEXUS has reviewed a number of Shuttle products in the past 7 years, ranging from budget motherboards to pre-built XPC systems costing thousands of pounds.
The usual chain of events surrounding a review is for a company to launch a new product and request that it be reviewed on respected I.T. websites around the world. If accepted, it's a simple matter of said company shipping out the product to the reviewer and, after thorough evaluation, picking it back up via its nominated courier.
In the case of Shuttle, early samples are sent directly from its headquarters in Taiwan, usually via Eva Air, and that's as close as the editorial team ever get to finding out the how and why a particular SKU saw the light of retail day and other similar products didn't.
They best way of understanding the thinking behind a product necessitates a visit to the source, so that's exactly what we did, traversing time zones and fuelled (but not sponsored, sadly) by Red Bull.
