Middle-earth: Shadow of War

Homepage: shadowofwar.com | Publisher: Warner Bros | Developer: Monolith Productions

In the epic sequel to the award-winning Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, go behind enemy lines to forge an army, conquer Fortresses and dominate Mordor from within. Experience how the award winning Nemesis System creates unique personal stories with every enemy and follower, and confront the full power of the Dark Lord Sauron and his Ringwraiths in this epic new story of Middle-earth.

This is more like it from one generation to another, where each successive jump is rewarded by a solid uptick in performance.

Our graphs thus far show just good the GTX 1060 6GB GPU was and is for running the latest games at FHD allied to solid framerates.

There is a massive step-up from the GTX 960, likely hamstrung by its meagre framebuffer, though choosing the latest from Nvidia offers, roughly speaking, a resolution upgrade over the GTX 1060.

Again, the question is whether that is good enough in 31 months between launches? You decide.
