Battlefield V and Civilization VI
The 16th installment of the hugely popular Battlefield series goes back to its roots with a never-before-seen portrayal of World War 2.
Synthetic benchmarks paint a one-sided story, but real games show another perspective. I expected excellent performance at the WQHD resolution and that is exactly what both cards deliver. Not only does the game look great, it plays buttery-smooth, too.
Some would call it the ultimate turn-based strategy game, and who are we to argue? Civilization VI is an excellent way to lose a few hours, and with more expansive empires than ever before, a capable PC is needed to experience the game at its very best.
The same situation is true in Civilization VI. Excellent performance? Check. Yet you don't have to invest in one of these premium cards for smooth gameplay. A Ā£300 GPU ought to to the trick at these settings, given the nature of the game.
