GeminII – out of the box
Unpacking the GeminII is a simple enough affair: sliding out a simple card tray from the Japanese-adorned packaging reveals the top of the cooler itself, as well as a couple of strips of metal and the obligatory bags of screws.
The cooler is a six-heatpipe design, featuring a pure copper base and a mass of shaped aluminium fins. The overall dimensions of the cooler itself are 175mm(L) x 125mm(W) x 82mm(H) and it tips the scales at a hefty 847g.
Obviously. there are two ways to run the GeminII: actively or passively. The former requires the addition of up to two 120mm fans to the cooler. The rails for mounting these are included. It's worth noting that adding these will increase its weight and overall dimensions considerably, though.
We've established that Cooler Master believes bigger is better and the GeminII certainly knows how to put itself about a bit, but just how big is it when mounted?
