New Wii screenies
Nintendo's VP of marketing Perrin Kaplan has confirmed that all of their games will work on any Wii console regardless of region. He also confirmed that there would be a region lock that publishers will be able to turn on and off if they wish to lock their games.
Following on from the Japanese and U.S press events over the last two days, it was surprising to see shares in Nintendo falling at the close of business yesterday by 4%. The reason appears to be due to the fact that Wii will arrive on the market in Japan later than Sony's PS3.
On a more positive note,to celebrate the launch announcement and further push the marketing for Wii, Nintendo have released dozens of screenshots for their new titles. We'll have details on the UK launch date and price later today.
