Nvidia isn't shy about Tegra K1's performance potential - the company calls it 'the universe's most advanced mobile processor' - but on the CPU side of things, K1 falls just shy of the speeds set by Apple's 64-bit A7.
Both are very fast, mind, and make for a very nippy user experience. And you know how mobile-processor performance claims of 2x, 3x or 4x often sound so outlandish? Well, they're not. The speed gains over the not-so-old iPad 3 are remarkable, with certain tests showing Tegra K1 to be six timers quicker.
