Stylish violence

Exclusively developed for Wii, MadWorld will feature fast arcade-stlyle gameplay and make use of the Wii Remote and Nunchuck by allowing some brutal finishing moves.

“To give you an example from gameplay, we have a scene where you can pull a street sign from the ground and shove it into a enemy’s head. However, I thought that it is much more fun to stab someone with a sign that actually has some sort of meaning as opposed to a knife. We tried the idea out, and the reaction amongst the team was so positive, I knew this was the way to proceed, “ reads an entry on the official website.

As well as seeing off an array of monstrous enemies, they'll also be some brutal minigames, including a game called "Man Darts," in which players must wield a baseball and then hit their opponent as hard as possible into a dartboard.

The latest trailer shows some of the finishing moves, including being able to throw enemies into the blades of a rotating fan. Sick!

Due for release in 2009, the censors are already making noise over MadWorld and its firmly believed that the violence will be toned down for different regions. MadWorld has already been banned in Germany.
