More cars than a multi-storey

So, first things first, what does TOCA Race Driver 3 offer over the others racers out there? Well… from looking at the screen here, I’d say quite a lot. Simply put, short of nicking a car and pulling doughnuts in the car park, TOCA Race Driver 3 has every car based shennanegins covered… all of them. You’ve got your basic Go-Karting, the basis for open wheel racing… or how about the Autos Sport Clio Cup, the basis for Touring Car racing… or perhaps you fancy Global GT Lights, for the budding GT racer? Then there’s the MG Rally Shield, or how about the Class B 4WD Challenge? Yep, there’s loads of choice, a massive amount of choice in fact.

It looks to me as if the Codies just couldn’t decide what sort of racing to focus on… so they decided to cover them all… You’ve got your open wheel stuff ranging from the Go-Karts all the way up to Formula 1… Or for those of us who like to have the CD player blasting out the ‘choons’ as we hare around the track, let’s go for the Touring Cars starting of with the shopper’s delight, the Renault Clio and working our way through to Supertrucks and the V8 Supercars. If you prefer a bit more mud in your racing, how about the Off Road series starting you with Buggies before moving on to Rallycross and Baja buggies before finishing on 4x4 Off-Roaders?

What I guess I’m trying to say is that TOCA Race Driver 3 has every motoring taste covered and covered in detail. There’s over 35 different types of motorsports in here with well over 100 championships to compete in covering six racing categories, a few of which I’ve touched on above. Now I can’t prove otherwise but the Codies reckon they’ve got twice the amount of content in TOCA Race Driver 3 as they had in TOCA Race Driver 2… and I might be inclined to believe them, purely from the playtesting I’ve been doing over the last week or so.
