Taking aspiring pilots into the heart of WWII

The first details on Transmission Game's sequel to the World War II aerial combat game, Heroes Of The Pacific have landed.

Heroes Over Europe will once again be set during World War II and will see players taking to the skies in over 40 types of planes taken directly from that era. This time the storyline will follow the Allied campaign from the attacks on London to the destruction of Berlin, with players mission to survive what publisher Atari claims will be 'the most ferocious dogfights ever seen in a flight combat game.'

Amongst the game's features we can expect High-def graphics, detailed landscapes and well-known landmarks, including accurate representations of London and Berlin during the war.

As well as additional content that will be made available to download from launch, Heroes Over Europe will also boast 4 online multiplayer game modes and will cater for up to 16 players online.

You'll have to hang on a bit longer to get your hands on it though; Heroes Over Europe is due for release in 2009.
