Alternative Software, the team behind Rugby League 3 on Wii, is busy working on a similar game for Xbox 360 and PS3.

Rugby League Live launches on November 2, 2010 and will feature 40 licensed teams from competitions such as the Super League, NRL, State of Origin, City v Country, and the World Cup, along with the ability to create your own teams, players and competitions.

Commentary comes from Rugby's Andrew Voss and the game will also feature co-op play and four player online multiplayer matches.

"We are very pleased with the continuing success of Rugby League 3, which was launched on the Nintendo Wii earlier this year " said Roger Hulley, Managing Director of Alternative Software Ltd. "and as such we have continued to develop relationships with clubs, players and coaches over the year, and now we are all very excited about Rugby League Live our latest video game release".

Bah, more focus on League rugby. If it was Union I would probably buy it, as for League, not really interested at all in it :/

Last one I played was way back on the PS1 or even the MegaDrive, EA Rugby 96 rings a bell.

New Union game for Wii soon, all sit there with controllers, someone kicks the ball and you all clap ;-)

Boring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's great to see a Rugby game where the idea is to score tries rather than the usual kick tennis rubbish.

Wake up and smell the coffee and watch a sport with a bit of excitement or trudge off to Twickenham and watch someone kick a few goals, YAWN

Yeah, I can see the error of my ways, I must go watch rugby league and watch a bunch of roided up meat puppets wriggle about on the floor when tackled.
