First Look : Test Drive Unlimited for the XBox 360

Yeah, yeah, I hear you… just another racing game… so why are we having a look? Well only because this particular racing game is being developed for the XBox 360, so have a rough stab at what the game was running on when these screens were taken…

Test Drive Unlimited is the ultimate automotive experience for car and bike enthusiasts alike. Visit the most sophisticated car and bike dealers to purchase new vehicles or simply take them for a spin.

Collect and trade rare performance parts and customise each vehicle to make it one-of-a-kind. Test Drive Unlimited challenges players online to experience the most exotic and fastest vehicles on more than 1000 miles of diverse Hawaiian roads. Gamers win races, challenges, missions and tournaments to earn credits and purchase new cars, bikes, rare performance parts, clothes, apparel, homes and garages.

Realistic cars and bikes from more than 125 licensed exclusive manufacturers including Lamborghini, Ducati, Aston Martin, Mercedes, Saleen, Shelby, and Jaguar are faithfully reproduced with incredibly high render quality… even down to interior details including full car functions such as radio, electric windows, horn and wipers.

Players will be able to upgrade each car or bike with options from the actual manufacturers' catalogue. Players create characters, buy new homes and garages, and tune and upgrade vehicles with aftermarket parts.

sounds like Gran Turismo :)
looks nice though :)
Damn, that looks good. I think these new generations of consoles could tempt me to play more games on them, especially if they are actual screenies and not just shots from FMV's or something.
Damage modeling?
Dom, that's the thing I was wondering… so I downloaded the massive 90 meg movie to see that every time a crash was inevitable, the damn thing cut to a different scene. This could be because the movie was of early code with no model clipping implemented, or because the crash physics weren't finished or any of a hundred different reasons… so we'll just have to wait and see.
omg….its awesome!!!
