The news

Latest gadget from Evesham Technology is an in-car GPS navigator that can report the location of all types of fixed speed camera used in the UK and also play MP3 music and display stills.

The Nav-Cam 7700, £149.99, uses the AA Navigator 2007 app and has a 3.5in touch screen. There's a 256MB built in memory to store maps and data - freeing the SD-Card slot for digital media.

Maps for the UK and the Republic of Ireland are included in the package along with six months' of speed-camera database updates, an in-car charger, a windscreen mount and a USB sync cable. The product will be available soon from http://www.evesham.com and http://www.lowestonweb.com.

There's more info in Evesham's press release on page two and a place for you to share your thoughts over in this thread in the HEXUS.lifestyle.news forum.

Update Nov 26. 13:00

The first par wrongly described the Nav-Cam 7700 as being able to detect speed cameras when, in fact, it has a database of the location of fixed speed cameras. Thanks to GoNz0 for pointing this out in the related HEXUS.community forum thread.
