Music to our ears?
Samsung claims it has launched the world's first Android powered MP3 device allowing users to access their music plus a lot of apps.
The Galaxy Player 50 boasts a 3.2inch touch screen, 2MP camera plus Wi-Fi and GPS, arguably making it comparable to Apple's iPod Touch entertainment player. Powered by Android 2.1, it offers access to the Android Market.
Available in 2 sizes- 8GB and 16GB, the player which looks like the Galaxy S smartphone, has room for a micro-SD card so internal memory can be boosted and sharing content is relatively easy.
The Galaxy Player's browser is compatible with Flash and its OS allows for a variety of file types including: MPEG4, WMV and DivX/XviD video files.
Samsung said its new MP3 player is available to pre-order from Amazon, Play and Argos for £149RRP.
