Easy Sat Nav from the AA
Trust the AA to make Navigation Simple
You wouldn’t ask a stranger for directions, so who better to come up with a simple, easy-to-use and cost-effective navigation device than a friendly name that all of the British public knows as the leading provider of travel information – the AA.
The new AA Navigator Vive! is an extremely compact but great looking, touch screen, door-to door, navigation product that also combines a photo viewer and MP3 player, all for an unbeatable price of just £149.99 – including Navteq’s latest detailed maps for the UK and all of Ireland.
A new icon-based software system includes a choice of Full or Easy Navigation functions, with the Easy version allowing the user to find any destination – by either seven digit postcode, point of interest or town name - in just three simple steps.
Instructions can be given in a choice of either simple schematics, or alternatively via 2D or 3D maps, plus there’s a choice of either male or female voices for the spoken directions.
The extensive points of interest facility also includes the AA’s famous database, giving the company’s recommendations for a wide range of venues including restaurants, hotels, pubs, cafes, golf courses and tourist attractions.

AA Navigator Vive! also includes six months free speed camera alerts with information on all six types of camera in use in the UK. Information on camera location is updated from the internet with connection via a PC and USB cable. On the completion of the free period users can choose to extend the facility via the same web site – with three years’ alerts costing just £99.95.
While both the product and the price may be small, the AA Navigator Vive! includes a specification normally reserved for far more expensive models.
GPS detection and journey routing or rerouting are fast, accurate and more than capable of rapidly responding to driver errors or changes in road conditions once on the move.
A rechargeable lithium-ion battery gives over three hours of navigation, with rapid recharging either via the included home charger or the in-car cigarette lighter adapter. The kit also includes an easy-to-use car mounting bracket for simple installation in any vehicle.
The AA Navigator Vive! is available from the AA Navigator web site – http://www.aanavigator.com – with full nationwide high street distribution from early 2007.
An additional map for the whole of Western Europe is available via 1GB SD card for only £99.99, with a map of the USA & Canada to follow shortly. Check out the website for great bundle offers.
