Psion's netbook
The Psion Teklogix website has a ‘discontinued products' section. If you go there you will find a product called the NETBOOK PRO (pictured below).
If you click on the link for the specification sheet you will open a PDF which was amended on 23 February with the header "PSION CONTINUES PROCESS OF AFFIRMING ‘NETBOOK' TRADEMARKS".
In the document Psion insists NETBOOK is still an active trademark as it is still selling products with that name despite having discontinued it.
It also insists that netbook has not quite become a ‘generic' description for sub-notebooks, mini-notebooks, ultra-portables, etc. However Psion says the realisation that netbook might become accepted as a generic term in Q3 of last year is what prompted it to act.
