Targetting DDR3

Castleford based distie Target Components has announced it will be taking receipt of Biostar's first socket AM3 motherboard - the TA790GX A3+ - by the end of this month.

Positioning it as Biostar's "first Dragon Platform qualified motherboard", the TA790GX A3+ will support the recently launched AM3 CPUs and DDR3 memory.

Biostar has been a good signing for Target, which became its exclusive distributor last summer. The distributor's focus on smaller retailers and etailers has ensured a high level of demand through the recession as consumers put a greater emphasis on upgrades and repairs.

Biostar product manager at Target, Glen Rhodes, said: "Biostar products have a serious reputation for great performance, quality and value. This is a terrific addition to the Biostar range, and offers the serious gamer an exciting alternative to other boards currently on the market."
