Review: OCZ Synapse SSD cache

Benchmark: Iometer

Our 22GB Iometer test file is able to reside entirely in the cache, and subsequent runs show a visible boost in performance when bombarding the drive with an onslaught of random 4K reads and writes.

Performance isn't quite up to the standards of some standalone SSDs, but the Synapse does a decent job considering its limited capacity - there are fewer NAND memory devices operating in parallel.
