Benchmark: AS SSD
The small 64GB cache (or should we say 32GB?) once again offers a dramatic performance increase over the hard-disk alone. The Samsung HD103SJ's read and write score of 16 and 17, respectively, jumps to 88 and 104 with the cache enabled.
A healthy boost, but performance is still some way off a standalone, second-gen SandForce drive. AS SSD's access times are particularly interesting - it shows that while writing to the system is instant (write-back ensures data hits the SSD first), accessing random data takes longer due to the hard-disk's slower seek times.
